Gold foil printing and embossing

Gold foil print jis a printing technique where the print is produced by a heat transfer of metallized foil onto the surface. The obtained print is glossy, intense and saturated which is practically impossible to achieve by any other printing technique.

Gold and silver foils are commonly used, however the print can be made in other colours as well. The materials used for this technique are all kinds of paper and cardboard, plastics, wood, leather, canvas, metal, ceramics, textile. The embossing effect creates a relief image (either raised or recessed), by pressing a die under high pressure onto a certain surface. The desired form is imprinted onto various surfaces such as paper, cardboard, leather or sky.
